The Game
Flipping Is Hard is a 3D physics-based precision platformer (Foddian/rage game) where movement is controlled entirely through torque-driven flipping mechanics. Players flip and tumble through increasingly challenging stages, mastering precise control in a uniquely tactile, physics-heavy world.

Problem & Goal
The project addresses a content gap in the global streamer-driven indie market – there’s a high demand for challenging, viral-friendly games, yet few titles offer 3D precision gameplay with high production quality and innovative mechanics. Its main goals are to:
Deliver a technically and creatively innovative product that advances Lithuania’s indie game scene.
Combine novel gameplay (torque-based flipping) with interactive communication tools for streamers.
Promote inclusivity and accessibility, through localization and cross-device support.
Strengthen Lithuania’s creative digital exports and reputation for innovation.
Results
By the end of the project, Flipping Is Hard will become a feature-complete, market-ready 3D physics precision platformer designed for PC and Steam Deck. The game will feature approximately 3–4 hours of high-difficulty gameplay across multiple environments, built to deliver a polished, streamer-friendly experience.
To achieve this, the development team will implement and test several key features:
Three fully developed and visually distinct biomes with unique obstacles and increasing difficulty
Secure in-game messaging system integrated into the phone interface, enabling developer-to-player interaction
Three interactive characters supporting narrative and world-building through dialogue and short cutscenes
Three classic-inspired minigames inside the in-game phone (such as Snake and Brick Breaker)
Full text localization in nine languages (including Lithuanian, English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, German, Portuguese, Spanish, and French)
Intro and outro cinematics with English voiceover
Improved UI/UX design for accessibility and cross-device compatibility
Steam integration, including achievements, cloud saves, and full Steam Deck optimization
The final product will be published on Steam, with a verified PC build and an operational Steam Deck developer build, ready for global release.
